Diagnostics tab

The Diagnostics tab allows you to configure the Device diagnostics can either be requested by the Scout admin or sent from the device.

Option Description
Debug level If the Debug level is set to On (Enhanced debugging), by using the Device diagnostics feature you run predefined commands on the device and retrieve a set of configuration and log files to a greater extent than without enhanced debugging.

If you require technical support from Unicon, switch on enhanced debugging before you perform Device diagnostics.

Make sure to switch off the Debug level after having performed device diagnostics. Otherwise, you risk to exceed the memory capacity of the device.

Send files to FQDN of a Scout Server or URL of a FTP server to be used as the destination server to which the devices send their diagnostic files.

By default, the diagnostic files are transferred to the Scout Server the device is connected to.

This option allows you to specify, for example, a specific Scout Server or FTP server that will receive the diagnostic files for all devices regardless of their assigned Scout Server.

The specified destination server is also active when diagnostic files are sent from eLux.

Enhanced logging for smart card support Creates an additional log file /tmp/PCSCDlog.txt when PCSC Lite is used

Device diagnostics is performed by using a Scout command. For further information, see Device diagnostics.
