Predefined IDFs and containers
– only globally available for all devices (Options > Advanced options) –
By predefining certain configuration parameters of the Device Configuration > Firmware, you specify values to be used by operational administrators. For example, you can restrict the selection of valid image files.
To use these functions effectively, configure the relevant object rights in the administrator policies.For further information, see Protecting firmware configuration.

To create a new list entry, click Add and then edit the new entry.The spelling of your entry must correspond to the existing file and path names. Note the following:

File and paths names are case-sensitive.

Do not use spaces.

Specify file names with their extensions such as .idf

The Valid option allows you to specify for each defined entry whether it is displayed in the Firmware dialog.
